Schedule
Making an appointment at our office, what you can expect.
Drs. Behm and Youngman are accepting new patients at this time.
Call our office at 727 446-6747 to set an appointment. The first visit will be a comprehensive exam, including a full mouth set of digital x-rays, periodontal probing, a full oral exam, photographs, models (when necessary) and kinesiology testing.
This will give us a full overview of what is going on in the mouth, and is necessary for such things as amalgam removal, neuromuscular (involving the nerves and muscles of the face, head and neck) dentistry, and addressing other toxic issues, such as cavitations. The price for this exam is $300.
To make an appointment, please call 727 446-6747.
A brief questionnaire will be done with you on the phone regarding your health, answer your questions, and find out what you need and want from us, etc.
Below are documents to be printed out and filled out. Please either mail them to us or bring at your first appointment.
Especially important is the Health History form. Please write down a chronological report of your health issues. The Doctors are very interested to know what your health challenges have been, it will help them to help you better.
This should include your current symptoms and concerns. Please describe them briefly but thoroughly, estimating how long you have experienced each symptom and grading it on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 = mild, 10 = severe).
If you are addressing any medical issues with another health practitioner, we appreciate your sending or bringing copies of your medical records, tests and medication history that may pertain to your dental situation.
Before your first visit, you may find it useful to spend some time writing about the events in your life as they relate to your health – or creating a timeline of your health issues and major life events. This can help you crystallize your sense of what’s going on with respect to your health, thus making things easier to recall and discuss during your visit. You might even see relationships and patterns among the events that weren’t apparent to you before. If you do this writing, please bring it with you or include it with the other material you send.
During your first visit, the Doctor will meet with you to know you as an entire person – not just your current health concerns, but your needs, desires and values, as well. After this conversation, he and an assistant will conduct a thorough oral exam and other tests, including kinesiology, to determine your current dental health status. If especially extensive testing is needed, this first visit may be extended over two days.
Also, please print out the following patient forms, fill them out and bring with you on your first appointment.
Confirming your Appointment
We will call you one week in advance to confirm your appointment, and the day before to remind you. We actually need to SPEAK to you in person on the phone to ensure you are going to be coming. Just leaving a voice mail or message with a family member is not enough for us to know that you will be able to make it.
If something comes up that you cannot make an appointment, please let us know as much in advance as possible. Either call the office at 727 446-6747 or send us and email.
If we are not able to reach you and speak to you in person to confirm your appointment, we will not be able to hold that time period for you, and will have to take you out of the schedule.
Therefore, it is imperative that we have a way to contact you, ideally a few telephone numbers and an email address.
Hours
Presently our office is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
Insurance
Many ask us about dental insurance. We do not accept “assignment of benefits.” That means we do not accept insurance as payment for the visit. We are not members of any discount or group plans.
We are a fee for service practice, which means that the appointment is paid for at that time. We can give you an insurance “super bill” at the end of your appointment, which you can send to your insurance company, and they will reimburse you directly based on the terms of your coverage.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Care Credit, American Express, and personal checks from established patients.

Without a doubt, Dr Ray Behm has my confidence. Whenever I have a critical or delicate dental situation, he is definitely at the top of my short list of the most advanced and most capable biological dentists I would allow to work on me.
Dear Dr. Behm,
I’ve come to think of you as the Lone Ranger! By the time I realize you’re finished working your magic…… you’re gone, and I don’t have a chance to Thank You. So thanks for the great crowns! I really appreciate you and your wonderful staff, and the great work that you do.
Sincerely, Kathy Conway
